Color: A bright, attractive peridot.
Louche: Very attractive, opalescent louche that retains a nice green color with touches of gold and white.
Aroma: Lots of character with wormwood and anise at the forefront with an interesting hint of something that resembles cumin.
Flavor: complex with high quality wormwood balanced well with anise. Dry and refreshing with a nice bitterness.
Finish: Bracing like splashing your face with water from an alpine stream. Nice and refreshing. definitely enjoyable.
Overall: This is a dramatically different absinthe from the first version of Angelique (SVC is the Alandia offering of Angelique). I like this quite a bit. It's definitely at the top of the Alandia offerings.

A very nice green - not too light but not blazing green either.
A dramatic swirling occurs with the addition of iced water. Lots of little trails and then swirling cloudiness.
The resulting louche is medium green and quite thick - a lovely appearance.
At 72% I found it could take quite a bit of tempering as well.
Very good mouthfeel - a slightly peculiar but inoffensive taste is present.
Overall not bad at all. Quite nice!
This was sampled as part of a set of 5 absinthe samples from Alandia. The others are pretty awful - but this one is quite good!
