Appearance: attractive golden hue. No visible sediment.
Louche: very weak. Almost more of a haze than a louche.
Aroma: Ooooooh. This smells heavenly. The aromas of Christmas. Anise, minty wormwood, and most of all, a sweet cinnamon. Baking spices out the wazoo.
Flavor: Thin mouthfeel, but DELICIOUS. Not quite a traditional flavor, but lots of sweet baking spices. The anise is partnered with cinnamon in a way that another brand tried to do, but failed. This one is an absolute success.
Finish: A bakery in your mouth. Makes you want more and more.
Overall: Don't let the score scare you away. Yes, the louche isn't great. But this is a perfect libations for the holidays. I am enjoying sitting by the fire with the Christmas tunes in the background sipping on this. If you like the flavors and aromas of the holidays, you really should pick up a bottle of this.
