Color is a beautiful, a slightly darker-than-jade green. Addition of water (to disappearance of original color layer, no sugar) leaves beautiful streaks and releases a very pleasing aroma. When nearing the 2:1 ratio, the louche takes on an interesting effect, where the trail spins off into the surrounding cloud and momentarily parts the surface with a streak of emerald before closing in upon itself. Fantastic layering! The nose is anise and somewhat woody, and the flavor is smooth with moderate complexity. The finish is slightly numbing, but the light and aromatic herbal quality remains. No hint of harsh alcohol here - the character is well-mannered and enjoyable.

This is my first Jade - I look forward to the Edouard and the PF1901, if this is any indication. Bien fait, Monsieur Breaux!
