I have met with Francois in person during the fondue party, little talk and he was coming back to me with a bottle of his stuff so that I could have a taste and tell him my opinion.

Colour typical, but nothing to whine about, louche perfect, nice layering, aroma really nuanceful, instead of the typical anisette aroma we have come across in most of les bleues in Boveresse, that one packs a superb fennel, discrete anise and powerful wormwoodiness with little herbal additions on the edges. And upon addition of water, these feautres stand fast.

Finish might be a bit worked on, but this is absinthe, tasty absinthe, and definitely an Artist makes it.

The Elixir of the land of the fairies is one of my favorite blanches and has its place in any Absinthe rotation.

While not complex or remarkable in terms of basic herbs like the Blanchette, it is quirky in a very pleasant sort of way. I think that EdPdF tastes like frosting in a glass. It is very sweet even without sugar but when one drips through a cube, hang on to your teeth. I think it makes a perfect second or third glass since a more complex drink won't alter its flavor. I think it may be a bit too anise heavy to use as a "palate cleanser" between more complex Absinthes.

The soft fragrance and flavor are reminiscent of Kübler and similar blanches but with somewhat more clean crispness. The flavor profile seems to lie somewhere between Kübler and the Clandestine, but with a touch of mint. This would make a nice addition to your shelf.
