I revisiting this bottle a few times after a six month break, and like it quite a bit more than I first did. It improved in the bottle with a bit of aging. 4:1, no sugar.
Color: Nice light peridot. Sparkles and looks very natural.
Louche: Slow steady build turning to rolling clouds at 2:1 fully louched at 3:1. Not as dramatic as other Matters I've had, but the final color is lovely; a light green with copper highlights.
Aroma: Clean and crisp alpine meadow elements. Nice, but I wish it were a bit stronger and more room-filling.
Flavor: The wormwood is much more clear here than in the aroma, Plenty of pepper and spice, but fewer of the elegant touches other Matter absinthes have shown me. Quite tasty however.
Finish: Faded a little more quickly than I'd hoped. Still a nice mouthfeel, lots of spice, and a nice tingle.
