Vintage Argenti Absenta Circa 1970
Overall rating
3.6
The color is a pale green, with slight amber tones, a very different green.
The louche is moderate, but a slow clouding effect, that starts almost upon the first drip. It maintains a very pale green hue.
The aroma is of wormwood and anise. Very sweet and to the fore. A soft tone, deliciously sweet.
The flavor is of wormwood, anise and another that I can’t quite place, relatively balanced for a Spanish, but with a slight numbing, smooth fresh mouth feel finish, with definite wormwood and anise.
As this being a 70’s vintage, it has aged very well. A great addition to anyone’s collection. An excellent absinthe to experience.
