Absinthe Vendors
There are many vendors out there, but these are the most commonly used and found to be reliable, with good prices and fast shipping.  They are not paying sponsors and appear here only because of their reputation for integrity, quality and service.
Prices fluctuate with the market and values of various currencies.  It  pays to shop around and compare item prices including shipping.  Please see below for our recommendation policy.

Image • DrinkUpNY.com - New York, USA.  Stocks most of the absinthes now approved for US import and sale. Offers free shipping inside the US on orders over $99.
Image • Absinthe Classics Canada -  Canadians can now order absinthe online without fear of losing their order.  Currently sells Taboo, a traditional style absinthe made in the British Columbia, with more brands to follow.

• ABSINTHE.DE - www.absinthe.de - Germany. Wide selection of premium and mid-range European absinthes. Fast delivery. For English, click on the little British flag in the upper left hand corner of the page and then click on the USD to display prices in US Dollars.

 • Liqueurs de France - www.absintheonline.com - UK. Good selection of premium and mid-range European absinthes as well as other artisanal spirits.

Artemisia Distillerie Artisanale - www.absinthe-suisse.com  - Switzerland.  Home site of Claude-Alain Bugnon, creator of the "Clandestine" line of absinthes. Other Val-de-Travers absinthes and accessories also available.
Image • Fine Spirits Corner - spiritscorner.com - Spain. Good selection of Spanish, French, and Swiss absinthe.  Avoid the more gimmicky colored absinthes.

• Vert d'Absinthe - www.vertdabsinthe.com - Paris, France. A brick-and-mortar store. Good selection of absinthe and absinthe accessories. Very knowledgeable proprietor. Orders taken online also.
Image   • Absinthesalon - www.absinthesalon.com - Sydney, Australia.  Sells a good range of the better French and Swiss absinthes as well as glasses, spoons, fountains, etc.

ABSINTHE ACCESSORIES (Glasses, spoons, fountains, etc.)

We  highly recommend La Maison d'Absinthe for absinthe accessories for all our North American members.  This is The Frenchman's American partner, René.  The Frenchman is the source of almost all of the antique reproductions on the market now, including fountains, spoons and glasses.  A percentage of all sales referred from here go to support the Wormwood Society.

•  The Frenchman: Antique reproduction glassware, fountains and spoons. Best for European customers.

•  Absinthe-Distribution.com - Repro spoons, glassware, and fountains.

•  Oxygenee.com - Vintage absinthe and collectibles. Absolutely amazing site, if only for the pictures.

•  Saxon Gifts - Antique reproduction glassware, fountains and spoons. Also in the US.

•  Absinthe Originals - Vintage glassware, spoons and other collectibles. Some repros.

Recommendation Policy

In order for us to deem a vendor worthy of recommendation, they must have demonstrated a history of reliability, integrity, customer service and satisfaction,  fairness in pricing and marketing language, and offer a good range of quality products with a minimum of mass-market novelty items such as faux-absinthe products.
We specifically recommend against any vendor who places undue emphasis on thujone content, the mythical hallucinogenic or aphrodisiac properties of absinthe, or sells do-it-yourself absinthe kits.
Part of our mission is to educate the consumer and prevent them from being misled by businesses selling grossly inferior and incorrectly identified products at astronomical prices.
