Appearance: Very light, almost non-existent coloring. Clean with no sediment. Light greens and yellows.

Louche: Quite thin and pale. Not inappropriate, just thin. Could use a bit more green anise to round this out a bit.

Aroma: Herbal and vibrant. Hyssop, spearmint and star anise on the nose with hints of juicy fruit.

Flavor: Light. Not bland, just light. Nice wormwood flavor without bitterness. Anise is there, but not quite correct. Tastes more like Star anise than Green.

Finish: Pleasant but recedes a bit too quickly.

Overall: It's a nice start. This seems to me like it's a product made by a distiller who was concerned about being too over the top with flavor at the beginning, so they started of 'slow'. I think that if they continue making this product, the distiller will become more comfortable with the unique flavors of absinthe and become a bit more bold with their botanicals. As it is, it's still a nice starter. Don't let the scores mislead you.
