Review Detail
I obtained a sample of this absinthe from the Rue Verte AbsinthExplore set.
Color: Clear with no visible flaws
Louche: VERY quick to form. Deep and thick, with a white film left on the glass after drinking.
Aroma: Intriguing with hints of peppermint and wormwood.
Flavor: Light but crisp and clean and enjoyable. The mintiness doesn't come over into the flavor, which is made up mainly of anise and wormwood. Fairly well balanced.
Finish: Clean and lingering but a bit hot. Quite a bit of numbing.
Overall: Not bad. Nothing outstanding, but definitely one of the better offerings from the Lemercier distillery.
