Very lightly colored - scent of star anise while neat. It lists aniseed on the label as well though.
*Very* slow to louche - lots of oily trails. Appearance of a lemonade once fully prepared. Was hoping for something much thicker! Smells mostly of star anise, still.
Taste is pretty one-dimensional. I've had worse... but aspects of the trinity are barely discernible and overpowered by the star anise. Quite weak in the flavor department compared to most absinthes on the market. Can taste the mint but it isn't as overpowering as I feared.
Overall: I do not recommend it and would not purchase again. It may be alright for cocktails and such... at $24 USD it is very inexpensive... but I was hoping for more and this absinthe leaves me wanting.
