just got my own bottle of century

I received a bottle of Century absinth and found it to be ok. it sure did take a while to get it (I don’t know why) but when I did get it they sent me a few gifts as well (probably because this bottle was stupid expensive.) they gave me two perforated spoons and shaped sugar cubes which were playing card suits. The color is a deep moss green no doubt do to the unnecessary amount of thujone. The louch is a very typical Czech style luoche, meaning not much of one. The aroma was very herby with a hint of anise. The flavor again is a very typical Czech style absinth. The finish seemed to leave a bitter but smooth taste. It also seemed waxy but that may be cotton mouth from smoking before that. Over all I give it a 3, ok for a Czech style absinth. I also want to say that I don’t think its right to say on this site that this doesn’t classify as and absinth because it is. Maybe not a traditional French style absinthe but it is none the less.

[editor's note: Nowhere is it said that Century is not absinthe.  It is in fact categorized under the Authentic Absinthe section. ~ Shabba]

best absenthe i have ever tried

First off I would like to say I have not actually tried the original Muse Verte. I have only had the 2004 special edition La Muse Verte, same bottle, different picture and more wormwood. The color is a greenish yellow that is truly beautiful and an aroma that fills the room. I prepared it according to traditional style and upon tasting it I was shocked how much more rich and flavorful it was than others. The louch was a show; it turned a cloudy yellowish green that seemed to shine in the light. I was sad when I had finished the bottle because it always felt like there was more in it because the bottle was so heavy and opaque. I just ordered another bottle of this. So I recommend that you try it!

great if you only care about the effect

This was my third bottle and the chezc version is defiantly not my style of absinthe. I prefer the French style with a hypnotizing luoche. Reality looks really cool but taste awful, close to throwing up haha. But the effects are unparallel. Not really much of a louche.

it is last on my list

This was the first absinthe that I have tried and at first I hated the taste but it started to grow on me and soon I found my self consumed by ever aspect of it. I am talking about absinthe its self not lucid. All I can say is that it is much too censored by the FDA.
